Hamza Khan-Cheema is a freelance web developer based in the UK. He specialise in Ruby on Rails, which is a Rapid Application web development framework. His use an agile methodology when developing web applications. This has lead to some good results in a short amount of time. Please refer to the work section of the homepage for details of previous work.
He has over 5 years of experience in the web development world. Starting out creating a custom Java CMS based on Java Server Pages(JSP) and Java Servlets. He later went on to maintain and further develop a bespoke CMS based on the same technologies for openDemocracy.net. He then was responsible for migrating openDemocracy's bespoke CMS and content over to Drupal. He also developed a number of custom Drupal Modules to further enhance the Drupal framework.
While at openDemocracy he also developed a sister site utilising Ruby on Rails and has never looked back since. He ditched the bloat of Java and the messiness of PHP and discovered the beauty of Ruby as a language and Rails as a web framework.
Does your project require a few developers and maybe a designer? We also offer a complete development solution. This is done through outsourcing the work with other developers / designers that we have worked with in the past. All of these people work to the highest of standards and produce the best results.
We are well experienced in managing a team of remote workers utilising tools over the internet to aid and assist in successful team communication. We aim to use people from Europe, due to time and quality reasons. However if needs be developers / designers further a field will also be used.
“Hamza is an excellent s/w engineer, diligent, helpful and extremely professional. He has managed outsource resources well and forms good relationships with colleagues. He knows how to negotiate internally with "client" groups - he does so sensitively but also firmly. I would without hesitation recommend Hamza as a team leader for a web-focused development team.”
